Ms. Cordova provides general legal advice and counsel to AES and its subsidiaries. She also oversees the Company’s legal compliance and risk management.
Her 13 years of legal experience including trying cases and litigating disputes for Fortune 500 companies on general business, employment, antitrust, intellectual property, and bankruptcy matters. Ms. Cordova was Senior Corporate Counsel at Arctic Slope Regional Corporation where her primary responsibilities included corporate governance, litigation, environmental, and employment matters. She was also a litigator at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP and Irell & Manella LLP.
Ms. Cordova received her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and her B.A.in English and Political Science from the University of California at Davis. She is licensed to practice law in California and Alaska, and is an active member of the Anchorage Bar Association and the Corporate Counsel and Employment Law Committees. She enjoys fishing and camping with her husband and three children.
