asrc energy services - houston contracting company

AES - Houston Contracting Company (HCC), our union subsidiary, provides pipeline construction and maintenance, building and trades construction, and equipment services.
HCC is one of the oldest union pipeline construction companies in the U.S. HCC began as a partnership to build oil and gas pipelines in Texas and Louisiana in the 1930s and came to Alaska during the development of Prudhoe Bay in the 1970s. HCC was one of the first pipeline companies to construct the infrastructure and in-field pipelines for the Prudhoe Bay oil fields.
Today, HCC builds pipelines, refineries, gathering centers, flow stations, compressor stations, ice roads, drilling pads, and other industrial facilities. HCC offers turnkey construction services, including:
- Pipeline construction
- Pipeline maintenance
- Building and trades construction
- Equipment services
We also offer:
- Project management
- Quality management
- Material and logistics management
- Constructability review and FEED teams
- Health, safety, and environmental management
HCC focuses on continual improvement to meet the demands of a competitive industry. We have a strong safety and environmental performance record, and have been recognized with numerous industry awards, including BP's Technical Achievement Award, a BP Environmental Green Star Award, Alyeska President's Awards, and Governor's Safety Awards.
Pipeline Construction
HCC's pipeline construction services include cross-country pipelines, river crossings, and oil field pipelines (above and below ground). HCC has constructed pipelines in Alaska, the U.S., South America, Africa, and the Middle East which range in diameter from three to 60 inches. Capabilities include construction of compressor stations, gathering centers, flow stations, and process modules for oil and gas industry clients. HCC built the first sub-sea pipeline ever constructed in the Alaskan Arctic.
Building and Trades Construction
HCC's building and trades construction services include gathering centers, oil refineries, industrial process facilities, module installation, and electrical infrastructure installation. HCC completed some of Alaska's largest building and trades projects. We first earned a reputation for efficiency and quality by constructing the low pressure separation facility at Gathering Center 2 in 1984. HCC has since built two oil refineries, repaired three waste-gas incinerators, and performed extensive module installations.
Pipeline Maintenance
HCC's maintenance services include oil and gas pipelines in process and transportation facilities. HCC has provided pipeline and process facility maintenance for more than 20 years, including maintenance services for the 800-mile Trans Alaska Pipeline, the Valdez Marine Terminal, and the extensive equipment fleet used for maintaining the pipeline system. The work included major repairs to the crude oil tanks and oil loading berths, repairs to and replacement of corroded large bore mainline pipe and valve components, and upgrades to complex electrical, communications, and mechanical systems. HCC also provided complete materials logistics, Operator Qualification (OQ) training, and human resources to meet federal regulations, as well as oil spill contingency response teams for the entire Trans Alaska Pipeline System.
Equipment Services
HCC's fleet includes heavy construction equipment and specialized pipeline equipment. Our equipment list details our heavy equipment, lifting equipment, and rolling stock. In 2005, the HCC equipment maintenance shop in Fairbanks received the coveted Fleet Masters Award, recognizing efficiency and innovation in maintaining more than 1500 pieces of equipment for the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company.
