fabrication and construction
ASRC Energy Services' fabrication and construction group offers complete fabrication and construction services. We excel at project construction services, with an emphasis on job safety, cost containment, quality products, and timely completion.
Our fabrication and module assembly facilities consistently dominate the Alaskan market by adhering to the highest standards of safety, quality, cost, and schedule. The fabrication and construction group's Anchorage Fabrication Facility produces a wide range of products, including:
The Fabrication Facility is a 50,000 square foot shop with 5,500 square feet of office space, situated on a nine-acre lot. An additional 5,000 square foot heated warehouse is used to store owner-furnished and weather-sensitive materials. The facility interior consists of four 50-foot by 250-foot bays, each equipped with several one-ton jib cranes, and 10-ton and/or 5-ton overhead bridge cranes. The facility accommodates assembly of two 16 foot wide truckable modules joined side by side. A portion of one bay is dedicated to structural steel fabrication equipment, including automated plate cutting equipment. There are 10 semi-automatic welding stations, and our welders are AWS and ASME qualified. We use customized piping and structural steel fabrication computer software to ensure accurate shop drawings and fabrications, material control, quality control documentation, and detailed shipping lists. The fabrication and construction group's Anchorage Insulation and Blanket Shop offers complete specification, design, fabrication, and installation services for all types of pipe covering, valve and instrumentation protection, exhaust and turbine systems, and personnel and environmental protection. Our insulation systems have been used across the North Slope, including in Northstar modules, Milne Point well tie-ins, Prudhoe Bay test well facilities and pipeline caribou crossings, and the Prudhoe Bay Badami project. We offer fabrication and construction services through our Alaska-based Engineering and Construction division and through two subsidiaries: AES - Houston Contracting Company, our union subsidiary; and Omega Natchiq, Inc., our Gulf Coast-based subsidiary. |
