The Fabrication and Construction group at ASRC Energy Services (AES) offers customized infrastructure solutions for the Energy, Industrial, and Marine industries. We’ve got your project covered.


AES’ Alaska-based Fabrication and Construction group excels at providing a full range of customized infrastructure services with an emphasis on job safety, cost containment, quality products, and timely completion to the Cook Inlet and North Slope regions. We have a fabrication facility located in Anchorage.

EAST BAY – STRUCTURAL STEEL FABRICATION:
– Eight 1-ton jib cranes
– 5-ton bridge crane
– Bickford radial arm drill
– Handrail bender
– Iron-Worker
– Two vertical band saws with 30 ft. roller bed
– Dual head pantograph and automated plasma cutter with cutting table
– Cope press
– One 20 ft. wide x 20 ft. high and two 12 ft. wide x 16 ft. high overhead doors

EAST CENTER BAY – MODULE ASSEMBLY:
– Eleven 1-ton jib cranes
– Two 10-ton bridge cranes
– Double sliding doors: 48 ft. wide x 25 ft. high, allowing assembly and shipment of two 20 ft. wide truckable modules joined side-by-side during assembly

WEST CENTER BAY – PIPE FABRICATION:
– Eleven 1-ton jib cranes
– Automated pipe cutter
– Two 10-ton bridge cranes
– Three semi-automatic welding stations
– Two sub-arc welding stations
– One 20 ft. wide x 20 ft. high and one 12 ft. wide x 16 ft. high overhead door

WEST BAY – PIPE FABRICATION, HYDRO-TESTING & MISCELLANEOUS:
– 5-ton bridge crane
– Two 18 ft. wide x 20 ft. high overhead doors
– Post-weld heat treatment oven
– Two 120 psi air compressors

FACILITY SPECS:
– 50,000 sq. ft. heated fabrication shop
– 5,500 sq. ft. heated office space
– 5,000 sq. ft. heated warehouse
– 10 acres, including areas for parking, storage, material laydown and load out

ADDITIONAL SERVICES:
– StruCAD and AutoCAD structural steel detailing
– FabTrol software structural steel material management and inventory system
– Acorn pipe spooling software
– Instrument calibration
– Non-Destructive Examination (NDE)
– Functional Checkout (FCO)
– ASME U, R and PP stamp certified
– UL 508 certified panel shop

MONTHLY CAPACITIES:
– 1,000 tons, structural steel fabrication
