John Lewis, PMP

President, E&P Technology

John has maintained a successful career in the oil industry since 1974 in disciplines ranging from nondestructive testing, sub-sea engineering, coring, and drilling to product and business development, and executive management. Geographically, John's sphere of operations has included the North Sea, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, China, Australia, South America, and the U.S.

Prior to joining AES, he was president of an Alaska technologies company. He has also held positions as international business development manager for BBL in Aberdeen, Scotland, and district manager Scandinavia for Dresser Security Aberdeen. Prior to 1990, John held sales engineering positions preceded by field operations work with Baker Hughes, Eastman Christensen, and Norton Christensen. As an AODC-certified commercial diver during the 1970s, John worked principally in the Middle East.

He is a member of the Project Management Institute, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and the American Association of Drilling Engineers. John is on the board of directors for the Anchorage Support Industry Alliance, and past member of the University of Alaska Joint Engineering Advisory Council and Campbell Creek Science Center. He is Vice Chair of American Red Cross of Alaska, and is President - Alaska FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association.

John holds an accredited Bachelor of Arts degree in business from New York's Columbia University Graduate School of Business (1996), and is an alumnus of the United Kingdom's Henley Management College (1986). With extensive experience since 1990 in business development, John is a certified Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute.
