Mike Colombie, PMP

General Manager, Construction

Mike Colombie is General Manager of Construction for ASRC Energy Services (AES). He is responsible for overseeing non-union construction projects, the Anchorage Fabrication Facility, and Kenai Operations for AES in Alaska.

From 1997 until 2007, Mike served as the Fabrication Manager for AES, managing the Anchorage Fabrication Facility (AES's structural steel fabrication, piping fabrication, and module assembly facility). He has extensive Alaska experience in managing multi-discipline maintenance contracts and construction projects with direct supervision of estimating, cost controls, scheduling, procurement, quality control, and administrative requirements with bottom-line accountability.

Mike's project management and engineering experience encompasses facility and pump station maintenance, modifications and upgrades, installation of new facilities, truckable module fabrication, structural steel fabrication, piping fabrication, pipeline construction, vertical support member (VSM) installation, and structural bridge installation. His electrical experience includes substation work, power transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, uninterruptible power supply, generators, grounding, controls, and instrumentation in petroleum process facilities and powerhouses.

Before coming to AES, Mike served as a project manager, project engineer, and electrical superintendent with several companies in Alaska.

Mike holds a bachelor's of science degree in construction management from Wentworth College in Boston and is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
