Alyeska Strategic Reconfiguration Project AES Power, Pipeline, and Communications is providing services for the Trans Alaska Pipeline System as part of the strategic reconfiguration of pump stations 4 and 9. The project began in 2005 and is currently being executed on a fast-track basis. Total construction manhours are expected to exceed 800,000 when the project is completed in July 2007. The project objectives include: Minimizing the cost of transportation and extending the economic life of the Trans Alaska Pipeline System and North Slope oil fields Constructing modular and scalable facilities to accommodate throughput variations more efficiently Simplifying facilities, renewing assets, and automating using proven technology Maintaining reliability, safety, and operational integrity We are providing the following services: Module fabrication Constructability reviews Construction planning Work package development CPM schedule development and maintenance Earned value project management and controls system Pile foundation installations Heavy rigging and lifts Turbine generator installation Electrical, controls, and pump, and piperack module installation Facility piping, electrical, and controls systems interconnects Construction completion testing Functional checkout and startup assistance
