Alpine 2005 On-Pad Installation Project

CD3 Piperack Trim Coolers
AES Construction was the installation contractor for the 2005 scope of work at the Alpine Oil Field. We expended 121,868 total man hours on this fast-track project installing 12 modules, 3 piperacks, one tank skid and tank, the erection of a 60-foot by 120-foot building, and a road crossing. We completed the project on time, under budget, and with an excellent safety record and no lost time accidents.

The scope of work included installation of ACX2 trim coolers; a tank skid and corrosion inhibitor tank; piperacks and tie-ins for CD3, CD4, ACX3, and a road crossing for CD3. We erected a fleet maintenance building, installing underground piping and electrical, thermal siphons, civil package, structural steel, architectural, electrical and instrumentation, piping, and HVAC. We also completed the underground civil and piping for the CD3 road crossing.

We met our schedule milestones, including mobilizing during the last week of March, and completing the heavy lifts by mid-April; this enabled a timely demobilization of a 300-ton crane prior to the closure of the ice road.

We provided the following services:
  • Constructability reviews
  • Construction planning
  • Module and piperack installation, including electrical, controls, piping and insulation
  • Installation of facility piping, electrical, and controls systems interconnects
  • Startup assistance
